FAQ

Can a porch-front home in Upper Darby or Drexel Hill get an easier entrance?

A raised first floor and small front yard can limit the space for an entrance change. Review the actual grade, landings, drainage, boundaries and pedestrian route before choosing a ramp, graded walk or specialist platform lift. Do not assume the public sidewalk is available or that a generic slope establishes a feasible design.

A driveway, side or rear approach, alley or basement-garage route may be explored with the rooms beyond it. Confirm headroom, level changes and the route to the kitchen, sleeping space and full bathroom; reaching another door does not by itself create one-floor living. NK coordinates connected remodeling and applicable approvals, while an equipment specialist assesses lift suitability.
