FAQ
How should remodeling be planned when someone is coming home from the hospital?
Bring the discharge or therapy team's recommendations, the anticipated return date and the rooms the person will use into the conversation with NK. NK prioritizes these inquiries while confirming whether it can take on the work, the actual scope and availability. Clinical guidance remains the care team's role; a discharge date does not guarantee construction can be completed beforehand.
Separate immediate priorities from longer-term remodeling decisions. Discuss entrance and bathroom access, support locations, the toilet arrangement, secure rails, clear routes and lighting against the person's recommendations and existing conditions. A curbless shower, first-floor bedroom and full bath, wider openings or specialist equipment may require a larger design, approval and construction process. Agree what can realistically be addressed now and what needs a separate phase.
