FAQ
What does CAPS mean?
CAPS stands for Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, a designation offered by the National Association of Home Builders. NAHB describes training for home modifications and work with aging-in-place clients. An individual designation is separate from contractor registration, trade licensing and engineering authority. When evaluating a specialist, ask about the individual's current designation and the role they will have in your project.
