FAQ

Is there financial help for home modifications in Philadelphia?

Philadelphia homeowners can explore PHDC's Adaptive Modifications Program, Philadelphia Corporation for Aging's home repair and modification resources, and the Philadelphia Energy Authority's Built to Last repair and energy-improvement program. Each provider determines its current availability, eligibility and covered work; a resource listing does not mean a particular remodeling project will qualify. Eligible veterans may also explore VA disability housing grants. IRS Publication 502 explains when medically related home improvements may be treated as medical expenses; ask a qualified tax professional how the rules apply to you. Confirm assistance before including it in your budget. Project financing is separate from public assistance and tax treatment.
