Can a kitchen remodel include an open-plan layout?

Yes. Open-plan kitchen work can be part of the kitchen remodeling scope. In the Warrington project, a load-bearing wall removal supported a more open kitchen plan; when a structural opening is involved, that work should be considered as part of the project scope from the start.
