Can part of a load-bearing wall be removed instead of the entire wall?

Often a partial opening is possible, but the remaining wall does not automatically provide all of the support that was there before. NK Construction & Design evaluates the loads, desired opening width, framing, utilities, and bearing points to determine what beam, header, posts, or other reinforcement is required for the new opening. The structural support is planned before demolition begins.
