FAQ
How urgent is a cracked or bowed foundation wall?
A cracked or bowed foundation wall should be evaluated because the urgency depends on what is causing the movement and how severe it is. Some cracks are limited and may remain stable, while widening cracks, visible bowing, horizontal cracking, displacement, or continued movement can indicate a more significant structural problem.
Signs such as increasing wall deflection, water intrusion, sticking doors or windows, separation around framing, or noticeable changes over time are reasons to have the condition assessed promptly.
NK Construction & Design evaluates the wall, the pattern of cracking or movement, and the surrounding conditions to determine whether the issue is primarily cosmetic, requires monitoring, or needs structural repair.
