What supports a new structural beam at each end?
A structural beam transfers load to bearing points at its ends, which may require posts, columns, masonry pockets, reinforced framing, or support carried down to suitable structure or foundations below. NK evaluates the complete load path because installing the beam is only part of the work; the concentrated loads created at its ends also need to be supported correctly.
